Connect at DOTTS with Dzigbordi

DreamOval Thought Transfer Series (DOTTS) in 2016 had some amazing personalities including, Bernard Avle, H. E Jon Benjamin, Prof. Ablade Glover, Oheneyere Dr. Gifty Naana Afia Dansoa Anti, and yes how could i forget the time we had with H.E Former President John Agyekum Kuffour at his residence, which was aired live on Joy 99.7fm.

It was in this same year that the foundation switched venues from Paloma Hotel, Spintex Road to the British Council, Accra  to reach out to much more people who could make it to DOTTS and take advantage to connect and learn more

The DreamOval Foundation is the corporate social responsibility arm of DreamOval limited. The foundation in 2016 was involved in a number of activities and the highlight for me was when there were engaged in the African Code Week targeted to teach children how to write their first line of code using scratch. For more insights about the DreamOval Foundation you can visit http://dreamoval.org/ or follow them on Facebook

Dotts is a monthly forum that focuses on inspiring and nurturing young minds to DO and bridge the knowledge gap through sharing of thought via conversation and participation. This concept stems from our core principles upon which the DreamOval Foundation was founded: Knowledge creation, Sharing and utilization.

You can agree with me that the woman of today is in charge of her sphere and is making great impact in society. Majority of women have moved from their afore reserved nature to more adventurous fields with greater results. They are continually influencing and breaking bounds in our modern world.

Such a lady is being featured on this month’s edition of DreamOval Thought Transfer Series(DOTTS). We will have an interactive session with the ever dynamic Dzigbordi Dosoo (Founder & CEO of Allure Africa) who will share her perspectives on the subject "Seizing Opportunities for a Productive Year" Come and be inspired to achieve your goals this year.

This year promises to be much more fun and sizzling.

Make a date on the 26th of January at the British Council at 5:30pm. Come and lets connect at DOTTS with Dzigbordi.

See you at Dotts!

With love, Ese 😘

ELECTRICITY!!!

It’s 2 weeks into the year already?? The Lord has been faithful, hasn’t He? Hope you are having a fantastic day. So far I hope your year is going well. It’s not too late to set out your goals for the year if you haven’t set them yet. Just remember it’s better late than never.  I mentioned in my first post of the year, one of the things i wanted to achieve is to obtain a renewed spirit, renewed mind and renewed understanding to love God more and get more closer and to do what is always right in His sight. You can check it out Here

Now when you hear the word "Electricity " what comes in mind? In my part of the country, "dumsor" (nickname for blackout in Ghana) will cross your mind. Electricity gives power. Without that power, we cannot use any electrical gadgets in our homes that's the lights, iron, refrigerator and so on. That power gives us some kind of life in our homes. I can't imagine my house without electricity. That will be very boring, dull and any thing i can think of. Most of you can't even stay at home when you don't have lights, especially if you have to catch that football match. Hehehehe

As part of the theme for the year; Our year of faithfulness for the Pleasant Place church. We believe that as long as we continue to be faithful to God without any doubt, He will continue to be faithful to us, listen to our needs, honor our heart desires and help us accomplish our resolutions and goals, because trust me, without Him we can do nothing.

You need to start your year right and to experience the power of God at Electricity 2017.
Hosted by Bishop Gideon Titi-Offei,along with some renowned and great men of God; Bishop James Saah, Rev. Robert Ampiah-Kwofi, and Apostle Anselm- Madubuko from Nigeria. Coming off at the Pleasant Place church is an 8-day electrifying fasting and prayer services from Sunday 22nd - Sunday 29th January, 2017 from 9am - 11:30 am on Sundays and 6pm - 8:30pm on weekdays.

The theme for this years’ Electricity is dubbed "Moving The Hand of God’. Taking place at the Sheepfold worship centre of the Pleasant place church, basket busstop, Spintex road near Unibank.

11 years after

Happy New Year to you all. I hope the new year has started on a good note? Mine is going well and i pray it continues till the end of the year. 2017 looks promising and fulfilling, as you know we are all feeling the wind of change (hehehehe not to sound political)

How many of you remember your friends from primary and Junior high school? I had fond memories of my childhood friends GOSH! the teasing, the embarrassments, hahahah i cant think far. .

2005 was the year i completed Grace Preparatory School located at Kaneshie first light just opposite Accra Academy Senior High School.(oh yes i am very small girl 😆) I attended the same school with my 3rd brother Divine,

Most of us who completed in 2015 had actually lost touch with each other right after the final paper of the 2015 BECE. A few month ago, a few of us decided to come together and form an old school group. Thanks to whatsapp group chats and Facebook, we are very much connected now.

As part of the official launch of GOSA 15(Grace Old Student Association) we organised to met at Marvels by kindly courtesy FNFGH  to get to meet each other, network and strategize as to how to implement our goals as an association.

We also introduced the executives of the associations and launched our constitution which will be adopted and will govern GOSA association.

One could imagine the joy in our eyes as we met each other. Catching up on old times ...a day was not enough.

All in all it was a great event after 11 long years. Even though the turnout was not as expected, we are hopeful that it isn't about the numbers, but as long as we can set our mind to it, we can all achieve what we want to in our own small ways.

I was delighted to host my friends and you know what; it felt good.! Truth was i had even forgotten some names but as soon as they were mentioned, i could quickly remember the faces.

At the end of the day we cut our cake and popped a champagne to seal the occasion. We also had some good food from Marvels...hhhmmm the taste of that black pepper is still in my throat.

In the coming month Dr. Ayorkor Adukpo, one of our colleagues will be getting married. Ayorkor i wish you all the best and God bless your Union. He who finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22). Congratulations once again.

Till then again, its your baby girl, Esenam

Much love, Cheers

Happy New Year !!!

Hello everyone!! i know it has been ages. Happy 2017 to you all. I hope the holidays was fun and you all enjoyed yourselves. For some people change has come! for others, they are in a comfortable lead. Whichever position you find yourself,, you are still alive and glory to God. In all these, we are grateful to God for a successful elections.

Yes speaking of elections, charley you know i am an election baby right? 7th December was my birthday o. Tho is was quiet, it was the best birthdays i have ever had. I had a week long celebration la. I couldn't believe it but it happened.

After exercising my franchise on election day, where i met with my folks, i headed to the office because work had to go on. For those of you who are friends with me on Facebook followed me on my live video. heheheh i am even shy. After work, i headed to by Bishop who requested i see him so i receive blessings on this special day. it was a great evening with his family after we prayed and thanked God for another year. (and of course i didn't leave just like that o, i had my nokofio..lol)

My birthday was crowned with a dinner at Formosa; a Chinese restaurant not too far from home. i had some good food and wonderful ambiance. Thank you Ben for making my birthday one of the best so far and to all my friends who wished me i am very grateful.

Fast forward to the Christmas, it was just cool and normal. People were in comfortable leads and gosh what was with the traffic in town? Maybe you can share with me how yours went. i know it's like that every year but this year's was massive. I can't really say much about my Christmas holidays because duty calls. Had to be at work but hey it didn't stop me from being at a couple of parties. I had fun. During this period i met a few down to earth people.

I was very excited I made time today to visit my godmother. Catechist RTD Bernice Loh. I admire her strength, courage and love. Earlier this year she lost her husband and best friend; who was my godfather as well. She is a strong woman indeed. I won't forget all her teachings. We spent time laughing and laughing and of course I needed to keep some memories. Age keeps up so fast you just have to adhere

Well now to my reason for this post; I want to wish you all the very best of 2017. Let us not overlook the fact that we wish ourselves the best every year but trust me we may not be where we want to be but we are definitely not where we used to be. There has been improvements  in our lives. 2016 thought me a lot just like any other. Sometimes it's really necessary you make time for yourself. You tend to put others first other than yourself...not good.

This new year i believe will bring me new beginnings

With a renewed spirit, renewed mind and renewed understanding to love God more and get more closer and to do what is always right in His sight.

I want to be happier regardless of all that is happening😃

I want to love more. 💖

I want to read and study more in relation to my career.

I want to put me first and not depend on others for my happiness so i do not get devastated.😜

I want to have more family time.

Finally, i will keep in touch via my blog more.

I look forward to reading your resolutions in the comments below.👇

Happy, Happy New Year. 2017 will be greater.!!

Much Love,

Ese😘
