What comes into mind when anyone mentions the 7th of December? Oh yeah as a Ghanaian, or a patriotic one for that matter, it only rings a bell of an Election day. A day that can be filled with lots of mixed emotions and reactions.
However, when it comes to the Adzimah family, which happens to be my family, its not just reminder of an election day; it is a double celebration a birthdays because, the second son, Worlanyo Adzimah AKA Prempeh II celebrates his birthday with his "kid sister"(very few will understand why i have that in "".lol) and baby girl Esenam.
Before I share about my birthday, God been so good, i graduated from the Ghana Institute of Journalism on the 28th November with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication studies. My family were there to support me, they really made my day, i deserved it because yeah i made them proud. What even got me really excited was that my brother arrived home 2 days before my graduation. I was super excited
This year Ese, turned 25. A year has been a mixture of the good, bad, weird and beautiful I am excited because my Lord has been good. He has brought me far. My life is a manifestation of His blessings. My 25th birthday marks a great milestone in your life, very few people will understand this.
Indeed I was overwhelmed by the love most of you showed me on my birthday. The calls and messages. To those who forgot or missed out, its not too late.
Interestingly I fasted on my birthday. It wasn't just me, but as part of our quarterly fast with my new family, the date fell on my birthday the 7th which was actually a blessing. A day of thanksgiving and reflection.
On my birthday my friend Etsey Atisu left me dumbfounded. Check it out here: Etsey's surprise
Etsey, i promised you i was going to reply to your post. I now realise how vigilant and particular you have being. There were two paragraphs in your post that got me teary...:
"....You fall within that category because another unique feature about you is that you do not hide the way you feel about people – if you love them you do and if they don’t like you, you cope with the sincerity...."
"...And for anybody that loves family like you do, I doff my hat out to you because today, quite not so many people know the value of keeping family and meaning it as much as you do...."
These two paragraphs showed me that you havent been just a great friend but one who is particular about what his friends are up to.
You have been a source of inspiration, you continue to encourage me to soar higher and in a number of ways you have touched a number of hearts with your writings. Keep the fire burning man, dont let anyone dull your shine.
Thank you so much.
Cheers....this is to many more years of love, peace, joy and all the good things and better future we are all working hard towards.
Got to go now people.
Catch ya later and have a nice day :-)
